Yesterday the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson announced a number of measures to ease lockdown and we wanted to take a look at what this means for the hospitality and specifically the property industry in London.
During the lockdown we have been working hard to support our clients with raised cleaning standards including our Safe Stay initiative which ensures we are able to manage London properties above and beyond the standards required by the government and the World Health Organisation.
The reopening of hotels and short let properties is welcome news for all of us in the industry and we firmly believe that short lets will see a strong rebound with this new rule.
Flights are not yet running and we don’t expect them to be at full strength in the short term so UK tourism may take a while to come back, especially whilst the quarantine rule stays in place, but there are two key considerations here.
Firstly the tourists that do come to London are more likely to be seeking a private property with high cleaning standards as we have seen in countries that have begun to rebound.
Secondly domestic travel, especially for the corporate market is likely to begin again soon.
As a result this is a key moment for the industry and we are here to support you and your business as we try to get back to normality over the coming weeks and months.
Talk to us to find out more about how we can help you take advantage of the rebound over the coming months.
